Field attendants have one of the most important roles at an event as they run an assigned field and are the point of contact for that field.

• Run scoring app and score the game at your assigned field
• Track each pitcher’s velocity and input data
• Take video for scouts to post on social media
• Communicate with the umpires on start/end times

These can be longer days at the park

The position plays a role in the event operations of Prospect Select Baseball.  Prospect Select will provide a first-class representation of all staff members.  Lead Operator will work directly with the Director of Operations to ensure that games are started on time, scores are correct, umpire communication, field attendant training, and the tournament runs smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage all fields and facilities they are assigned
• Train all field attendants to use ScoreBook Application
• Assign field attendants to their appropriate fields
• Confirming fields are in playing condition and safe for all participants
• Confirming all umpires are present and on field prior to official start time
• Confirming all teams are present and on field prior to official start time
• Knowledge of all tournament rules, formats, and schedule
• Communicating with umpires, field managers, trainers, and facility operators on all schedule changes
• Managing inventory on all tournament equipment; Baseballs, tents, awards, tables, chairs, staff apparel, radar guns, gate wristbands, payment devices
• Coordinate all hotel room lists and needs
• Help recruit and staff field managers

Must be highly responsible, a people person, have a high baseball IQ, and be a good problem solver.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attending assigned events (showcases and tournaments) to provide scouting coverage. 
• Record, edit and post videos of players during events for scouting purposes
• Post video and write-ups of players on Prospect Select social media accounts
• Write blogs pre-event, during event and post-event of players

• Learn to interpret data and metrics and how they apply to baseball scouting

Role Purpose

The Baseball Operations & Compliance Officer will be responsible for leading, supervising, and guiding athletes and their families before, during, and after Best in PR Showcase events. The role ensures that the Showcase’s mission is clear, athletes receive proper guidance, and the recruitment/exposure process is handled ethically and transparently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to parents and athletes regarding the goals and expectations of the Showcase.

• Explain college/university recruitment requirements and processes.

• Honestly evaluate each player’s athletic tools and academic profile.

• Guide athletes on how to maximize their exposure during the events.

• Reinforce the importance of effort and discipline; events are not for leisure.

• Act as a liaison between athletes and colleges/universities that align with their academic and athletic levels.

• Maintain full transparency: Best in PR Showcase does not guarantee colleges by request or payment.

• Provide continuous support before, during, and after events.

• Ensure athletes understand their active role in the process (grinding, working hard, seeking opportunities).

Requirements

• Experience in baseball operations, recruiting, or NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA eligibility processes.

• Knowledge of U.S. college athletic and academic requirements.

• Strong communication skills with parents, athletes, and coaches.

• Bilingual (Spanish & English).

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple cases.
